Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” (Isaiah 35:4)
Thought: Fear is not of God. Fear is very oppressive in nature and has the ability to cripple our God-given potential and destiny. How do we counter fear? We counter fear by saying what God says and not what our fears are telling us. Not only can we speak the word of God to the ones who are fearful but we can speak this word over ourselves. Today I want you to say this to yourself: “Fear not, ____ [put your name here]; be strong and do not fear, your God is coming to destroy your enemies and He is coming to save you.” Read the next few verses (vs. 5-7) about the effect and transformation once this word is spoken: a miracle will follow. How does this happen? The reason is that God backs up His word.
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You have not given me a spirit of fear and I know fear is not from You. Today I speak Your word over my life and over those loved ones of mine who are fearful. Lord, I thank You that You are coming my way to destroy the works of the enemy against me and to save me. I thank You that Your word cannot fail and I receive my miracle with joy and thankfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
