Thought: The system of the Kingdom of God will always be many, many steps ahead of the system of this world. In this day and age we see how the rulers of this world are systematically infiltrating the school system to indoctrinate the most vulnerable of the society: the children. Praise God we belong to a Kingdom which is way more farsighted than the kingdoms of this world in that the Kingdom of God has already made provision for our children to be overcomers: God has provided our children His Spirit. In the above verse we notice that the first group that will be impacted and show forth the work of the outpouring of God’s Spirit are our “sons and daughters”. As our children carry a prophetic insight of things happening around them, our children will have the God-given ability to discern right from wrong and this prophetic insight that is at work in their lives will keep them from the “snare of the fowler” (Ps. 91:3).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we give You thanks and praise for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit: a blessing You have prepared from the foundation of the earth for our children. Lord, as they step into this new season and this new school year, we thank You that we can send forth our children into this world not as ones who are unprepared but as ones who are fully equipped: equipped by Your word and by Your Spirit. Father, we pray that this year our children will carry the prophetic anointing into their schools and into their colleges and that they will be able to see and hear not as the world sees and hears, but they will be able to see what You are seeing and be able to hear what You are hearing. Yes, Lord, You are always looking at the world through eyes of love, mercy, and compassion and we thank You that our children, through Your spirit, will do the same. In Jesus’ precious name, amen.
