Preserved without fault

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy, to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. Jude 1:24,25

Thought: Today as we conclude our 21 days of prayer for our children, let us rest on this one thing: our children are safe in the hands of One who is “able”. Abraham in the most dire of situations had this very unusual sense within him: “being fully convinced…He was able”. Abraham resolved within himself that whatever happened, he would not give any place for doubt: doubting God’s ability and doubting God’s promise. If you read the book of Jude, you will see the author of this book describing all the various evils that have infiltrated our world, but the beauty is how the Spirit of God brings this writing to a close: He does so by bringing our focus and our attention “To him who is able”.  Come what may, let us never forget as we go through this year, with everything regarding our children,  “God is able”. Our abilities have a limitation but the One to whom we have entrusted our children is One who has  NO limitations to His abilities.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for this new season in the lives of our children. Lord, as we send them out into this world this year, we do not send them out from a place of anxiety or fear, but Lord, we send them out from a place of rest and assurance: a rest and assurance that come from a place of knowing that You are able. Lord, we thank You that this year You will preserve our children and keep them in this world as ones “in whom was no blemish” (Daniel 1:4) and ones whom you will keep to be presented before you “without fault and with great joy”. Lord, as we conclude these 21 days of prayer for our children, we do so by making this one declaration: “to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen”. In Jesus’ precious name, amen.
