Thanksgiving

I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving…Psalm 116:17

As children of God, our faith in the finished work of Christ, in the written word of God, and in the promises of God is the way we live life: “the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17) and “without faith it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6).

How do we live from this place of faith? Living a life of continual thanksgiving is one of the greatest expressions of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as it comes from a place of “not seen and yet … believed” (John 20:29). This week if you feel locked in a situation that does not look right, does not feel right, or just is not right, there is one right way to respond: give God thanks. Living from a place of thanksgiving to the Lord will always remain a key to our deliverance and victory as it opens the door into the presence of the Lord; enter his gates with thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4). This week as we choose to live life from a place of thanksgiving, we choose to live life from place of triumph and victory in what Christ has accomplished for us.

Declaration: This week I choose to live from a place of thanksgiving to the Lord. My thanksgiving to the Lord comes from knowing that my life is and will always be an expression of EVERYTHING Christ has done for me, and my gratitude to the Lord comes from knowing that I am NOT a product of my circumstances but a product of the promises of God over my life.

Scripture: By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:15
