Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. (Psalm 8:2)
Thought: Children and babies are the most vulnerable and innocent group of people. The Bible exhorts us to grow up and be mature in every area of our lives; but in one area, the Bible urges us to be children: but in malice be babes (1 Cor. 14:20). The meaning of malice is: desire to cause pain, injury, or distress to another. There is something about malice that corrupts us. Praise in the absence of malice has the ability to cut off the voice of the enemy and stop his intimidation; in other words, praise in the absence of malice is much louder than the voice of intimidation.
Prayer: Father, I pray You will always guard my heart from malice because malice is not from You. I thank You, Lord, that today You are ridding my heart of malice and of any thought of evil against anyone. Father, today as my praise rises out of a heart that is innocent, the voice of the enemy is being cut off. As a fruit of my praise to You, I receive this new stronghold against the enemy and his plans in my life. I thank You for this divine protection. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
