…the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:24
As children of God we all know that we have been redeemed (a full price was paid) by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only have we been redeemed by His precious blood, but the Bible gives us insight into other benefits that are ours through the blood.
Peace: Through the blood of Christ we have peace with God. Peace is a state of tranquility. Through the blood of Christ, there is no longer a discord between God and us; we have access to constant fellowship with Him: “and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross” (Colossians 1:20).
Provision: The access to all the provision we have in the kingdom of God is through His promises and these promises were made to the children of Israel. Through the blood of Christ, we are now rightful citizens of Israel and thereby have access to every one of His promises. “Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:12,13).
Protection: The Bible is very clear that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31). Thank God for the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ for through His blood, we will be counted worthy to escape the wrath of God. “Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God” (Romans 5:9).
Power: The ability to overcome the wiles of the enemy is found in the power of the blood. As we stay protected under His precious blood, we will always be found as overcomers. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 12:11).
Presence of God: As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ one of the richest benefits we enjoy is the access to His presence. The access to the presence of God was made possible to us through His blood. “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19).
Declaration: My declaration this week is a declaration of thanksgiving for the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Through the blood of Christ, I live as one who is at peace with God, and I have been given access to all His promises, His power, His protection, and His presence.
Scripture: When the LORD passes through to strike down the Egyptians, He will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway; so He will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down. Exodus 12:23
