Transacting with heaven

Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life. Acts 5:20

The Bible is full of words of life but the words of life have no effect till they have been spoken. As we live life on this side of eternity we are called to constantly transact with heaven and transactions in the kingdom of God take place using words. We must all remember this: being saved and born again is the first step in our lifelong journey of transacting with heaven and even this very first step would never be possible without the involvement of our words: “…and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10).

This week, as we live as ones who, through Christ, have been authorized to transact business with heaven, let us not forget that our words will always remain the key to our transactions. This week as we align our words with the word of God, let us:

  • Use our words to speak life over our children and into our home (Proverbs 3:33)

  • Use our words to speak health and healing over our physical bodies (Jeremiah 33:6).

  • Use our words to align our lives with God’s destiny for us, which is to be fruitful and to increase in every area of our lives (Psalm 115:14).

In the kingdom of God, words precede actions – “He sent His word and healed them” (Psalm 107:20)

Declaration: This week, I confess that I will live out my calling, which is to be an ambassador of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). As an ambassador of Christ, my call is to speak words of life in every situation and that is what I will do.
